Murcia is renowned for its exceptional golf courses, attracting golfers from around the world.

Some prominent golf courses include our own wonderful Alhama Signature golf course, and La Manga Club, a world-class resort with three championship courses, including the South Course, North Course, and West Course. Other notable courses are Aguilon, Altorreal, Altaona, Los Colinas, Lo Romero, Roda, Saurines, Mar Menor, La Serena, La Torre, El Valle, Hacienda del Álamo and Hacienda Riquelme.

Murcia boasts excellent tennis facilities with many resorts, including our own, having tennis courts.

La Manga Club features top-quality tennis facilities with numerous courts, coaching programs, and hosts various tournaments. Additionally, Club de Tenis Cartagena and Club de Tenis Murcia, the home club of Carlos Alcaraz, are popular spots for tennis enthusiasts.

Murcia offers opportunities to play basketball and volleyball in local sports centres, municipal courts, and community clubs.

UCAM Murcia are one of the top teams in Spain, playing in the Spanish ACB league and the European Champions League. They play their home games at 
the Palacio de Deportes in Murcia.

With its Mediterranean coastline, Murcia offers a wide variety of stunning beaches where swimming is a popular activity.

Additionally, there are municipal pools, leisure centres, sports complexes and resorts, like our own, throughout the region offering swimming facilities and classes.

Fans of water sports will find Murcia to be one of the best places in the world for sailing, diving, snorkelling, canoeing, swimming, water-skiing, jet-skiing, flysurfing, windsurfing, paddle surf, catamaranning, river rafting, and every other type of water sport activity in its numerous clubs, ports, beaches and sailing schools.

Murcia's countryside and natural landscapes make it perfect for horse riding.

Several equestrian centres and ranches offer horse riding lessons, trail rides, and excursions. The Sierra Espuña Regional Park is a picturesque location for horseback riding.

Adventure enthusiasts can enjoy quad biking experiences in the countryside.

Various adventure and outdoor activity companies offer quad biking tours and rentals in places like Sierra Espuña and the rural areas surrounding Murcia.

Murcia's diverse terrain provides excellent cycling opportunities, ranging from mountainous routes to coastal paths.

The region offers designated cycling routes, and enthusiasts can rent bikes or join cycling tours to explore the beautiful landscapes.

Lots of resorts, including our own, and sports centres throughout the region have football facilities, from 5-a-side pitches to full size.

For professional football, Murcia unfortunately does not have any teams in La Liga but FC Cartagena currently play in the Second division. Real Murcia currently play in the Primera Federación – Group 2, the third tier of Spanish football, and UCAM Murcia in the Segunda Federación, the fourth tier.

Alhama CF, based in nearby Alhama de Murcia, are a very strong ladies football team currently playing in the Spanish Primera Federación.

ElPozo Murcia Fútbol Sala is a futsal club based in Murcia, currently one of the top teams in the Spanish First Division, and plays its home games at the Palacio de Deportes de Murcia with capacity of 7,500 seaters.

Skydive Totana, only a 20 minute drive from Condado de Alhama, offers skydiving for all levels from beginner to advanced.

Murcia offers a wide range of motorsports venues, including racetracks like Cartagena Circuit, where car and motorcycle racing takes place, motocross venues and go-kart circuits, like Karting Espuña, only a 10 minute drive from Condado de Alhama.

Hikers enjoy endless possibilities in the Region of Murcia. It is possible to walk for hours along the old miners' and fishermen's paths along the coast, between and Portmán, Cartagena and the Bay of Mazarrón, or in the Natural Park of Calnegre and Cabo Cope, accompanied by the always-pleasant sight of an infinite blue sea.

Inland, the Sierra Espuña mountain range and those of La Pila and Lavia offer interesting routes and pine forests dense enough to protect hikers from the summer heat.

Also, the extensive Murcian Greenways are old disused railway routes, adapted to become ecotourism itineraries for hikers and touring cyclists. Thanks to their accessibility, easiness and safety, with almost no slopes and far from motor traffic, they are especially attractive for any person who wants to discover the natural environment and the cultural heritage of the towns and territories they cross. One of those greenways, the Vía Verde de Mazarrón runs close to Condado.

Not far from Condado, the natural park of the Valle and Carrascoy offers visitors a multitude of trails for this activity.

The Region of Murcia boasts more than 100 trails approved by the Mountaineering Federation of the Region of Murcia (FMRM). The local ones (SL) are less than 10 km, the short-distance trails range from 10 to 50 km, and the long-distance trails (GR) are longer than 50 km.

The Condado de Alhama Golf Society was formed in 2010, as a non-profit organisation, to provide discounted golf, friendly competitions and a social focal point for golfers who own, or long-term rent, on the Condado de Alhama Golf Resort.

Since then, it has grown to have over 800 members.

They organise competitions, 3 days per week, on the incredible, Jack Nicklaus’s personally designed, Alhama Signature golf course and hold regular social events.
