Estrecho de la Arboleia
The emblematic natural area "Estrecho de Arboleja" is formed by a small "canyon" that the water has been sculpting into the limestone rock for thousands of years. This spectacular strait is part of the Barranco or Rambla de Lébor, and is designated as a Site of Regional Geological Interest (LIG).
Hundreds of metres long and between ten and fifteen metres high, they are home to small springs of water, limestone forms on their walls and small lagoons, turning this place into a natural paradise of unparalleled beauty. It is one of those routes where it is worth carrying a camera at hand to be able to immortalize the beautiful places and landscapes we are going to pass through.

Torre Del Homenaje
The Tower, which today is the emblem of the medieval town of Aledo, was centuries ago an example of power and defence of the territory. On top of the first Muslim fortress, the Christians built this unique tower for border surveillance and refuge for its inhabitants. With the reconquest of Granada in 1492, it lost its strategic importance, passing through numerous uses until it became one of the greatest tourist attractions in the region.
The Homage Tower opened its doors to the public in 2008 after being restored and fitted out as an interpretation centre.
The cistern on the ground floor has been set up as a reception and screening room. On the first floor there are several explanatory points whose contents focus on the medieval historical context of Aledo, on the knowledge and recreation of its defensive system and on the influence of the Order of Santiago in the town.
On the upper floor there are two free-standing modules with explanations that revolve around the urban and defensive configuration of the Santiago fortress in the 15th-16th centuries and the keep: description of the building, construction technique and armament. In this space you can see a series of graffiti from different periods, representing horsemen, boats, beads, etc. This set of representations is, so far, the most important documented in medieval military buildings in the region.
Open: Monday to Friday: 10:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays: From 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Opening on alternate weekends.
